Love Revenge Cappuccino

The coffee shop and gelateria Love Revenge Cappuccino has been one of the V&A Waterfront’s longest standing coffee shops, so when Niko Tiftikidis (the very cool greek guy behind it) asked us to do a rebrand and new store design, we jumped at the opportunity! We were also excited to finally be collaborating with interior designer Nic Tamlin. We worked together throughout the design process – the end product being proof that collaboration across the design disciplines is the best way to work!

 

Niko’s brief to us was to create a modern space with a global design aesthetic that introduces the new coffee culture – conversation, connecting and coffee on the go. Inspired by the global citizen, the concept was to create a meeting, working and social hub with free wifi and plug points for powering up digital devices. The shop’s new location in the walkway of the mall also presented limited space so a modular design was chosen. We developed a clean and contemporary identity to play with the modular and geometric feeling of the space and further enhance the relationship between the interior, product and people.

 

Naturally we gravitated towards our favourite colours yellow and turquoise. These edgy yet friendly colours communicate a stylish design aesthetic as well as the delight that comes with indulging in sweet treats.
