Our very first meeting with Cindy Douglas was a whirlwind! She had just had a very very strong cup of coffee and was bursting with ideas! We loved her infectious energy and immediately got on famously.

Coco Africa produces handcrafted lifestyle products and customized designs from their workshop in Franschhoek. We were tasked to do a rebrand, refine the logo and develop the corporate identity. In rebranding Coco Africa, we wanted to bring through the ideas of the mastercraftsmen, timeless beauty and the warmth and charm of their products. As most of their products are made from wood, it was important that this warmth and tactility to come through as well.

We loved the existing concept of the Fox and star identity and simply did a refinement of it – the Cape Fox which can be seen in the Franschhoek mountains, lifts its tail to show excitement. Once we presented the rebrand…we had a very excited client too!
